GROUP & TEAM COACHING (GTMC)

NEW

After 2 years of doing Group and Team Coach Training in many countries --- we have finally had our very first Group and Team Certification Coaching.,  Certification training is for the GTMC credentials ---all of the other trainings were for information, skill development, practice, etc, but not for credentials.  But now we are doing that!

And there will be more opportunities for this in the coming months.  Additional skills that we benchmark for GTMC are--- Framing, Group Leadership, Group Functioning, Group Closure.   The core coaching skills are also benchmarked --- now with an emphasis on group--- group listening, group supporting, group questioning, etc.

The fabulous part of the Benchmarking of Group & Team Coaching is that because we do not have a “real” client (e.g., group) but a simulation of a real group situation --- the experience on stage is a form of psycho-drama.  Here is 6 people who make up a group, maybe an executive board, group of senior managers, groups of employees, etc. and they have this or that opportunity or problem to a goal.  Amazingly, it only takes a few minutes and the people “playing” the parts drop the frame and step into the experience so much that they have real feelings and responses to the situation.

We did the training in Guangzhou China with a small group of 24 --- 5 sitting for Assessment and the other 19 being our psycho-drama “group”  from time to time.  I don’t know who had more fun --- the participants in the “show” or the audience watching it all!   But we did have a lot of fun.
